About Us

In 1985, Newberg High School organized its first ever Grad Night Party. In 1999, the Newberg Grad Night Committee was established as a non-profit 501c3 with the State of Oregon. Over the years parents of graduating seniors have worked hard to raise funds and organize a safe and fun evening for their graduates.

What is Grad Night?

Grad Night is a Safe and Sober Graduation Night Celebration sponsored by Newberg High School Parents and community donations.

For the protection of the students, and to eliminate any opportunity for drugs and alcohol to be snuck in, the location of Grad Night is kept top-secret until the students are on the bus and ready to disembark. We welcome senior parents to sign up to chaperone this amazing event. If you think you may be interested, please make sure your 'back ground check' is current with the Newberg School District and get an ID.

An event this size requires a great deal of fundraising and organization to put on, so we rely heavily on parents to help us out! You can do as much or as little as you are able, it all helps us out. Please join us at our meetings to help plan, and when you can, help us with our fundraisers. Students are welcome to help work fundraisers too.
